Now it’s the first impression that always count when you embark on an adventure. So let’s start with the welcoming dogs, fat geese, clucking hens, orphaned horses, and lovely let-nature-take-its’s-course-garden. As you round the corner, the ambience of the home and dining area assail you and just make you feel so very welcome. There was a black sausage dog that just had to lead you to the “what to do menu” chalked on the wall and the beaming smiles of the chef, Connie, who hastily wiped down the outside tables as it had been raining and we wanted to enjoy the garden.
Private functions can be catered for and should you want to spend the day out of town, just let Jacinda know and she will happily provide you with a picnic basket. Take- away meals are also available from Monday to Saturday so lunch en route to the dam or forest is never a problem. The menu has a wide and varied selection of tasty, freshly made quality food and there is also a lovely deck where one can sit outside. While waiting for your meal, browse through the craft and gift shop where you will find everything ranging from beading and scrap booking materials to glassware and Bass fishing lures.
