Fun filled days are guaranteed for all the children who visit Forest Way. Based right at the edge of the indigenous forest, all sorts of activities are on offer for the energetic and brave at heart. From learning the skills of archery, to scrambling through obstacle courses and abseiling down the 7metre wall, there is always a multitude of activities to occupy lively youngsters.
Forest Way caters for day visitors as well as school parties who usually stay for a few days or up to a week. They offer environmental and outdoor educational programmes and can accommodate up to 92 children in two separate venues. Walks through the forest to play in the waterfalls can also be an enlightening experience, especially for those from cities as a qualified field guide will teach about the indigenous flora and fauna, birds and endangered species that live safely in our area. Kayaking on Gubu Dam gives hours of fun and after learning the basics of paddling and controlling the kayak, ball games are played on the water. Mountain biking through the beautiful surrounds, tackling the climbing walls, learning the art of night orienteering and team building are all part and parcel of the Forest Way experience.
